This was the best performance I had seen in a long time. It was my second
deftones show and I was totally blown away. First to play was Motoflov. They
were great and I think they really got the crowd going. After that came
Pitchshifter, who was also good, but in my opinion, not as much as Motoflov.
Quicksand was alright, but by that time I was way too anxious for the
deftones. They sounded awesome and played almost everything I wanted to
hear. They opened w/ my fav. deftones song... Damone. I got into it really
quick... screaming "so far, I've been down that's true!" as loud as I could.
They played mostly everything from around the fur except lhabia(which I
really really wanted to hear... maybe next time), I think they left out a
couple more... like lotion or rickets... one of those. Chino jumped into the
crowd in about the third song( I forget which one). Everyone rushed forward.
At one point, Chino(I think right before 7 words) told everyone to clear a
huge circle in the middle of the floor. Everyone sort of cooperated, by
making one circle on either side which eventually broke into eachother.
People were getting thrown around all over the place. It was great! The
concert calmed down for like 5 minutes and it was really dark and Chino was
just humming calmly into the mic. Then they broke into be quiet and drive.
That was one of the best songs, but the encore was headup... that was
insane. It was a perfect ending. They went out with a bang.
It was too bad that they didn't play any of their cover's... because To
Have and To Hold, and The Chauffer are awesome songs.I was upset to ahve not
heard Lhabia... but cares, I know I'll see them again soon. F**K S**T up at
those shows a**holes!
